I recently bought a Canon EOS 40D and I am looking for a good wide angle lens. I have two lenses: Canon 24-105mm f/4 L for general purpose photography and Canon 50mm f/1.2 L for portraits. Does anyone know of a good wide angle lens for my camera given its 1.6x crop factor and my existing lenses? Is 17-40mm f/4L a good wide angle on a 1.6x cropped sensor?

Can I use a small cotton tip to wipe this finger-grease from it’s surface with a dab of Windex or should I use a less invasive method to clean this focusing lens?

I critiques this one a little different as I had to take each image and think how it fits into the over all photo story.
I have a Canon Rebel XT camera. Some photos (Jpegs) only take up about 1.2MB while others take up 6MP. Why is there variation when the same camera/lens is taken for each photo? Also, Canon XT is an 8mp Camera. Shouldn’t each photo be 8mp? Thanks!!!
PS: Photoshop tends to increase the memory of a photo. Why is that?
I just got into photography and still learning. Recently I started working in clubs taking club photos an the lens that I have kinda makes it hard to do so. I find myself having to step back farther just to get good shot. Im looking for a lens that can do real close quarters shooting and has the ability to take a shot big enough for a wedding. I’m leaning towards a 10/20 or a22/80… My camera is a canon7d
