Travel Photography ….. what I need, which lens?

January 9th, 2011

I am going to be taking photos with my dslr at a first holy communion and will also be going on vacation shortly afterward. I have standard lenses (75-300 and 28-80) but want to purchase a new lens good for portraits and travel photography. I want to spend around 0 and am not sure if I should get a 50mm f2.8 lens or a wide angle like a 28mm. I need a wide lens with a small aperture. which is better for me? any tips for travel photography would help also. thanks

How to prevent camera lens from fogging up after snow?

November 25th, 2010

Just a quick Q, I brought my small compact camera in (Sony CyberShot) from outside to photograph the snow and shadows but when I brought it in, I thought that the lens might fog up so I put it in my porch, which I thought might help the transition. Right now, the lens is fogged up. Its only a small amount so there shouldn’t be damage. What should I do now, and what can I do next time to prevent it from fogging up? Thanks in advance!

Oh yea…has anyone ever used any of those wide angle adapter lenses off Ebay and such websites? How where they for you? If you haven’t used them or owned one then don’t bother answering please
