Okay so I am off to Belgium, London and Munich in a couple of days. I need tips in taking landscape photos. I’ve got a Canon Eos 500D along with A Macro Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 and zoom lens EF 75-300mm. And since I can not afford a wide angle lens, I really need tips on taking photos with the lenses I currently have. thank you:).
Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens or Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM or Tokina 11-16mm lens

canonEOS 500D full HD photo slideshow. these are a bunch of pictures i have taken in the past 2 months with my new favorite toy the canon 500D. all photos were taken with a canon ef 50mm f1.4 usm lens. i used a screw on macro 10+ and 4+ on the pictures of the cracker cocktail onion ============= music track 10 years – wasteland (live acoustic)
I’m looking to use a Canon FD 50mm 1.4 with a bower FD to EF converter.
What will i be expecting? I heard i won’t be able to change the F-stop on the camera.
If i do want to change the F stop, what do i do?
And also, what is the main difference on the Canon EF 50mm 1.4 and the Canon FD 50mm 1.4 ?
any difference in the images? what is the main difference from your experiences or research?
all i can find on good is that the built quality on FD is better but they all say it’s about the same. but
it couldn’t be the same because of the time gap between those 2 lenses are extraordinary.

What would happen if I mount an EF lens to my Canon 400d? Also I heard that (for example) if I mount a 100-400mm EF USM IS lens to a DSLR such as my 400d, the effective focal length would be 160-640mm, so that means that the image will be cropped more than the actual focal length right?

I was originally planning on buying the 18-200mm, but I don’t really need that extra range (not sure I have enough money for it, either). Seems like it’ll be a good walkaround lens but I want to know for sure. Of course, I will be updating to a better lens later on.
I also would like some opinions on the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM.

I am buying a new Canon 7D next month and want a 50mm lens and I found one that has Ef and one that says FD. Is that per camera or, just, what do those letters mean?
