Are there any digital cameras priced $200-300 that come with a fish eye lens or have the functionality of one?

    August 8th, 2011

I’m not a heavy-duty professional photographer, and I don’t have the time or money to research and pay for a 0-0 D-SLR camera and match it with the correct fish-eye wide angle lens. In fact, I do most of my photography on my iPhone’s camera, my cheap-o Sony point-and-shoot (DSC-W55), or Polaroids. However, I have recently taken a great bit of interest in the trendy look of a shot taken by a fish-eye lens.

So my question is: on a budged of about 0-0, are there any digital cameras out there that can take a decent fish-eye picture by default or by fairly simple (and inexpensive) upgrade?

(Note: I would prefer to not be recommended a point-and-shoot with a gimmicky after-effect filter that simulates a fish-eye lens style photo.)

    Thanks so much in advance!

Wide Angle lens for Nikon d3100?

      August 4th, 2011

I am looking for a wide angle lens for my Nikon d3100. I have 2 lens now, which are 18-55mm and 55-200mm. I am looking for a wide angle lens that will attach to one of the lens I currently have. I have just recently got in photography and I would like to purchase an inexpensive wide angle lens. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

      Thanks in Advance.
OK. Like I said I have just recently got into photography and wasn’t exactly sure what lens I would need. I love the 2 I have now, they are amazing and I have found that I can shoot just about anything between the 2. I am going to Ohio in a few weeks, when I was there before there were beautiful landscapes that I wanted to take pictures of, but at the time I had a digital Nikon and wasn’t able to get the shots I had hoped for. Is there a any certain lens you would recommend me having other than the 2 I have now? As of right now I am mainly taking portraits of family and friends until I get better. But I would also like to have a lens that is great for landscapes.

Thanks so much for the help!!

            July 22nd, 2011

I am very new to photography and was just wondering if the 18-55mm lens that comes with the Nikon d40 is considered wide angle? If not what would be an affordable wide angle lens for the d40 for shooting indoor shots of my children? Thanks

Which wide angle lens would be a better choice for landscape and candid photos the nikon 10-24mm or 16-35mm?

              July 18th, 2011

I have read reviews on both the Nikon 10-24mm and 16-35mm and would really like a good ultra wide angle lens. I am shooting with a Nikon D7000. I do mostly landscapes and street photography, love to shoot people from the hip. Also, the 10-24mm appears older than the 16-35mm yet costs significantly more. Is this due to the difference in millimeters? And at 10mm would I experience severe barrel distortion? Please help! Can’t make a choice, all I have right now is a 18-55mm lens and a 55-300mm lens. I have been shooting for six months now so I am still relatively new to the world of photography but gosh its so much fun! Please no sarcastic answers!

                  July 6th, 2011

I am looking for good wide angle lens for panoramic landscape photography. I want something not too expensive, and prefer with less fish-eye effect (less distortion). Here are some good examples of the kind of pictures I want to take.

Do i really need this lens?

                    July 2nd, 2011

This July im traveling to Lebanon, and there are alot of landscapes and nature that i could photograph. Mostly i would need a wide angle lens.

I bought my EOS 450D last summer from lebanon, with it’s kit lens. Back then i wasn’t that experienced with the camera and photography, but now i sure am.

The lens i have in mind is canon 10-22mm or Sigma 10-20mm…i already have the 18-55mm lens. Do i really need to buy any new lens?

                    Thanx!!=)
