no wide angle lenses are inexpensive….put it that way…….maybe take a look at the tokina 12-24mm or the tokina 11-16mm.

The tokina is supposed to be a heck of a lot better built than the tamron or sigma wide angles.

Sure canon makes an excellent 10-20mm wide angle lens…which is EXPENSIVE, not INexpensive !!!!

Canon makes an excellent 10-22 mm lens for your camera. That is the one I would buy.

My guess is that the 20 mm lens was a suggestion when used with a 5D/1D or 35 mm camera. 20 mm is a pretty wimpy wide angle when used on your camera.

The Canon 10-22mm $700 is a good lens. If this is too much the Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 $550 is also a great lens. If this is too much go with the Tokina 12-24mm F4 $400.

The only third party lenses I would recommend are the Tokina’s. They are built like a tank and have a constant aperture throughout the zoom range. Tokina makes much of the glass for Pentax lenses. They also make Hoya filters.
